About Camellia House

Camellia House is a beautifully presented Edwardian House situated in the centre of Lyndhurst, the ancient capital of the New Forest.

Lyndhurst is the focal point of any visit to the New Forest and is an ideal base for walking, cycling, bird watching or relaxing in its many tea rooms, all of which are within walking distance from the house, along with pubs, restaurants, takeaways and a selection of shops.

The sitting room has solid wood flooring and comfortable sofa and chairs, television with DVD, Surround Sound music system and Freeview box.  A selection of board games are available.

Separate dining room comfortably seating six adults, the perfect setting your evening meal or lazy breakfast.
Kitchen Kitchen
Quarry tiled floor with built-in solid oak period kitchen units.  It has a modern range style oven, fridge, freezer, washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen with toaster, kettle, microwave, pots and pans, cutlery etc.   There is a door leading to the garden from the kitchen.
A Downstairs WC will be available from March 2009.

A light and airy room with wrought iron bed Louis XIV style furniture, solid varnished wood flooring and a large sash window looking out onto the front of the property.

A bright and sunny room with a double iron bed, wardrobe, dressing table and chair.
Family Bathroom
White period bathroom suite, original roll top bath, basin and WC and large separate shower.
  Stairs from landing to second-floor.
  Bedroom Three
A modern room with double bed, chest of drawers and TV.
  Bedroom Four
A single bedded room with wardrobe, bedside table and lamp.
  Courtyard Garden
The private patio style South-facing walled garden has table and chairs, large potted plants and outside light.  A secure side gate provides access to the house.
All beds have duvets and pillows provided with top-quality duvet covers.  Bath, hand and face towels are provided for your holiday.
All electric and gas charges are included within the cost of your stay.  Heating is controlled by a 24 hour programmer and individual thermostatic radiators.  The property is Non-Smoking with the exception of the garden.  Sorry, no pets with the exception of guide dogs.

Lyndhurst, in the heart of the New Forest, has many shops and restaurants, the village inns are a pleasure to visit for both adults and children alike.

The village of Burley, famous for the witches, is just a short trip by car as is the town of Lymington with the link to the Isle of Wight.

Beaulieu, with the National Motor Museum and Exbury with the steam train ride are both just 15 minutes drive.

Why not take your children on the narrow gauge train ride down a Victorian pier in Hythe to see the famous ocean liners, should they be in dock or simply enjoy the 15 minute ferry trip to Southampton aboard the Hythe ferry.

Whatever your holiday dreams, rambling in the open forest, visiting the local landmarks or just being totally restful.
